As well as daily technical support and troubleshooting, my main duties involved the development, implementation, configuration, testing, documentation and training for our Labware LIMS system.I have continued the development and configuration of the company's pre-registration process as well as communicating with, and be the main contact for, the company’s larger customers to develop, implement, test and support the interfacing between our Labware LIMS and their systems, including LIMS and ERP systems. I have also continued working with internal stakeholders in the provision of support and the setup of analyses and have become the primary contact for the interfacing of instruments and third party software. I have been able to successfully develop routines and processes to import and export data between various instruments.I am also required to problem solve and support all aspects of LIMS Labware as a part of my daily duties.

As well as daily technical support and troubleshooting, my main duties involved the development, implementation, configuration, testing, documentation and training for our Labware LIMS system.My development and configuration of the company's pre-registration process helped reduce the amount of transcription errors and the incorrect assignment of test methods. These improvements also reduced the amount of time a Sample Registration Officer spends on the handling of a sample before it is passed to the laboratory to begin testing (from over 5 minutes to less than 2). The company now has about 70% of its’ samples pre-registered.My position also requires me to communicate with, and be the main contact for, the company’s larger customers to develop, implement, test and support the interfacing between our Labware LIMS and their systems, including LIMS and ERP systems. Through discussions with the clients, I was able to understand their requirements in order to achieve beneficial results for all parties involved.I have also worked with internal stakeholders in the provision of support and the setup of analyses and have become the primary contact for the interfacing of instruments and third party software. I have been able to successfully develop routines and processes to import and export data between various instruments including Mettler Toledo Auto-Titrators, Shimadzu HPLCs and GCs and FOSS Tecators. My experience with third party software includes, but not limited to, Labx and LabSolutions.I am also required to problem solve and support all aspects of LIMS Labware as a part of my daily duties.

In this role I was required to complete analytical testing in both the Milk Analytical Services(MAS) and Chemistry departments. This position allowed me to learn and understandlaboratory practices and procedures.Working in a skeleton crew on weekends, and being the senior MAS technician, I was oftencalled upon to use my general IT knowledge to troubleshoot and solve various computer andnetwork related issues. I also utilised my advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel to improvevarious manual paper based herd testing procedures in order to increase efficiencies in thedepartment.
