About James Comrie

James Comrie has spent the majority of his 25 year career in Wholesale Fleet, funding over £15+ billion of vehicles in this time. Joining Close Leasing in July 2011 as Head of Wholesale Fleet James has funded over £8bn since his inception at Close. In March 2016 as Director of Wholesale Finance, James expanded the Wholesale Fleet business to include Wholesale ECOS for dealer groups and a PCH offering for our contract hire clients. He then became Managing Director in 2020 when the division took forward its green strategy. All of which are tailored funding solutions for dealers and fleet customers, complementing the existing division which continues to thrive by supporting the UK contract hire and rental market.Currently nearly half our new funding is in the electric vehicle market.
