Jim has over 30 years of experience in real estate, facilities and financial management. He is a versatile professional with a proven track record of getting things done. During his career, he has dealt with all aspects of real estate management from investment selection, financing and acquisitions to property management, budgeting, leasing and property disposition.Currently at Plymouth, he heads Asset and Property Management activities for all 125 of Plymouth's buildings covering 20M square feet.. Jim is responsible for establishing and managing annual operating and capital budgets for all properties. He oversees all leasing activity, construction and green initiatives. He has designed and implemented a SalesForce based portfolio metrics reporting system that includes leasing, construction, acquisition, property tax and other aspect of real estate management. He manages 14 real estate professionals at Plymouth and maintains a highly motivated and productive team.At Nortel, he successfully led various real estate programs and initiatives including a massive effort to shed excess space via property sales and subleasing along with establishing restructuring accounting reserves to account for the on-going excess space costs which could not be fully eliminated. Before leaving Nortel, he led bankruptcy cost reduction efforts which included relocating and consolidating personnel out of buildings, rejecting leases and negotiating the real estate aspects of business sales.
