Recruited to execute and conclude a multimillion pound high profile complex claim.Role includes:Providing guidance and advice to the Board on the claim and on risk exposure across the Arqiva Group.Liaising and negotiating with brokers and underwriters, to achieve a positive outcome to the claim.Carried out a Captive feasibility study and presented to Board and successfully set up and delivered Captive.Identifying the needs of the broader Cyber risk landscape for a National Critical Infrastructure solution which will be led by Arqiva.Successfully setting up a combined Insurance, Risk and Resilience and Health and Safety function to provide more visibility and credibility at Board level.Producing Contractual Risk Management documentation for the wider group to mitigate Arqiva’s exposure to third parties.Arqiva is the only supplier of national terrestrial television and radio broadcasting services in the UK, consistently delivering digital TV, analogue and digital radio to people in all four corners of the country. Arqiva also distributes over 1,000 channels internationally using our fibre and satellite infrastructure.Arqiva’s advanced, dedicated networks also support the management of critical data and content for connected devices including smart TVs and smart meters for water, gas and electricity.

Part of the Exec Management Team I was tasked with expanding their offering in the Property Owners sector and increasing their distribution footprint.Responsibilities include:Setting and Implementing a Business Development Strategy for the UK and Europe which successfully achieved 20% growth.Created a new ESG product to disrupt the Environmental sector.Led and managed the Latent Defects team (4FTE) and sourced additional capacity.Implemented Group wide Growth Strategy.

I acted as the COO for a Construction led MGA with full P&L responsibility to oversee the operations and procedures and to secure the functionality of the business to ensure operational efficiency and drive sustainable growth. Successfully secured £50m capacity for Property Owners and £5m for Latent Defects.

Set up my own Construction led MGA which included securing capacity for 3 lines of business. I successfully merged this business with Ensurance Ltd

My responsibilities included:Business development across the key specialisms of construction and real estate within the GCC region.Creating a new proposition for the business giving it new focus and direction in building a sustainable client base and network across the GCC region.Successfully built relationships with all the leading organisations including Meraas DP World DMCC BAPCO and DUBAL.Introduced a more consultative approach to client management.Invited by a major Insurer to present to 500+ delegates on Risk Management at an International Construction conference.

Headhunted to join as Insurance Director. I managed and directed the team responsible for Insuring and Risk Managing Land Securities GBP12bn property portfolio. Sat on the board of the Captive insurance insurance company Land Securities Insurance Ltd successfully increasing the profit from £1m to £2m.Other successes include:•Reducing void costs and minor claims by 50% and also a saving of £500k (40%) on Public Liability claims by carrying out a comprehensive Risk Management exercise.•Creating a Risk Assurance Forum of key stakeholders enabling Risk management procedures to be driven through at a senior level.•Managing and insuring the £2,5bn development pipeline.I made regular Board presentations and produced a number of white papers.Performance managed the team to give it recognition and gravitas within the business. Made fundamental changes to KPI’s to improve productivity.

Wholly responsible for Insuring and managing all of Canary Wharf Groups assets GBP 6bn.Solely responsible for placing the Insurance Program for the Crossrail station.Led and structured a full broker tender producing savings of GBP 1m across whilst maximising the business's profits with increased commission levels.Led the team of Insurance technicians. Performance improved the team from little recognition within the business to much greater profile within the business.

As part of the business development team my responsibilities included developing business in EMEA. I was part of a successful team who won numerous Petro/Chem and Infrastructure projects across the region. I was also seconded to Hong Kong for 18months where I was part of the successful team that won the MTRC account.
