I started my career advising on the design and implementation of incentive and remuneration structures for senior executives in Management Buy-Outs. I took my knowledge and experience and used this to advise financial services firms, primarily banking groups, on the design and implementation of employee short and long term incentive schemes. As part of this work I advised firms on the ongoing administration and governance aspects of their remuneration and incentive schemes and the tax treatement of employees receiving incentive awards and payments. In 2008, when as a result of the global financial crisis, regulators across the globe strated to introduce new regulations on financial services remuneration, I started to increasingly advise firms on the impact of those regulations. Over the last 10 years I have gained significant experience in advising financial services firms, particularly UK and international banks and capital markets firms on the impact of all aspects of pay regulations as these have continued to evolve.
