James has 17 years of experience across a diversity of roles in the real estate and funds management sector. James' experience has spanned fund and asset management, transactions and treasury roles, product development of new core and value add funds, along with the management and oversight of large core property and alternative real estate funds. Currently, James is the Head of Funds Management (Australia) responsible for overseeing the funds management function and client relationships, and strategy development, across AXA IM Alts’ $8 billion funds management platform in Australia. Previously, James was the Fund Manager responsible for the management and growth of AXA Group's alternative real estate funds in Australia spanning the healthcare, logistics, hotel, student accommodation, forestry, multi-family residential and social infrastructure sectors. James also has a keen interest in responsible investment having had an active role in the ESG Committee of AXA IM for over 13 years which, during this time, included the development of a first-of-its-kind climate resilience rating tool which measures the impact of physical climate risks on real estate.
