As a Task Lead, I was able to lead a small team to successfully deliver a prototype to our sponsor. As an individual contributor, I hardened and improved back end tools with an emphasis on efficiency and code quality.

As a Task Lead and Scrum Master, I helped guide a small team through the creation of a full stack prototype app that we were able to successfully market to sponsors and secure new funding sources. I regularly met with sponsors to demo our tool and gather feedback used to guide further development. As an individual contributor, I created Gitlab CI/CD pipelines to automatically deploy prototypes company wide, enabling faster user testing. Day-to-day I worked on full stack prototypes using Vue3, FastAPI, Express, Postgres, and ElasticSearch.

As a Quality Assurance Lead on one of my projects, I coordinated manual and automated testing for a large federal research ecosystem. This role involved coordinating developers and designers to write and execute tests, and generate a monthly report on the results of these tests for our sponsor. On the same project, I created a FastAPI backend to support a large knowledge base of user publications. I also mentored interns and helped on-board new hires within my department to teach business strategy and culture and provide technical expertise (setting up development environments, for example). On another project, I enhanced dev-ops processes by creating custom graphical interfaces for executing Ansible scripts and logging errors. This allowed non-technical users to more easily execute and monitor Ansible scripts. On another project, I worked with a human centered engineer to create a full-stack prototype of a web-based dashboard to support natural language processing research (see my publications section).

I contributed to a full-stack web development team to create graphic visualizations of user data for a large research ecosystem. I also modernized a website header to be visible on both internal and external MITRE sites. My final project involved updating Node.js scripts to asynchronously upload files from internal databases to IBM Cloud storage for use with IBM Discovery.

I completed my second term of research as a James O. Freedman Presidential Scholar Research Assistant to Prof. Mowry in Dartmouth's Asian Societies Cultures and Languages department. I created an application using Python and Tesseract optical character recognition to digitize definitions of oracle bone inscriptions (the earliest form of Chinese writing). Prof. Mowry hopes to compile a digital dictionary of oracle bone inscriptions.

I spearheaded a machine learning project in Matlab to investigate current failure mechanisms on ion implantation tools with the goal of creating a regression based predictive model. This process involved extensive data processing using SQL. Also found and improved inefficiencies in C# applications for a server-side log parsing application for a large international client. My last project involved creating a C# application to scrub sensitive manufacturing information from log files.

I completed my first term of research as a James O. Freedman Presidential Scholar Research Assistant to Prof. Mowry in Dartmouth's Asian Societies Cultures and Languages department.

I was a research assistant to Prof. Mowry in Dartmouth's Asian Societies Languages and Cultures department. I helped with formatting various papers and translations, and wrote some small Python scripts to automate miscellaneous small tasks.

I was a teaching assistant to Prof. Torresani. I supported his CS 70.01 course: Foundations of Applied Computer Science. I held weekly office hours, and helped students with assignments. I was also responsible for grading weekly problem sets and exams.

I worked to improve accuracy of machine learning algorithms for auditing trade patterns to detect insider trading. I also created visualizations for data analysis using Tableau. For my intern project, I led a team to brainstorm value-adding improvements to creating annual auditing forms.

I was a research assistant to Prof. Mowry in Dartmouth's Asian and Middle Eastern Languages and Literatures department. I supported her in compiling citations for publications and created audio files and subtitles for interactive online tools to aid students in learning Chinese.

I created web scraping application in Python to create Excel spreadsheets that visually highlighted potential data inaccuracies. These spreadsheets were presented to senior engineers to expose problems within our data sources. I also extensively documented the application to improve user experience.

I worked with two other high school interns to prototype a competitive multiplayer mobile matching game. The game allowed players to compete against one another locally or over the internet.

I worked with a team of other high school interns to create a prototype Android app for the World Food Organization and the Red Cross. The app was intended to be used to drop aid from cargo planes and plotted course headings for aircraft to follow in order to hit their targets. It calculated headings using wind data, altitude, aircraft speed, package weight, and other factors.

I created LabView scripts to monitor oscilloscope readings of micro-fluidic pumps in a human organ simulation that tested drug delivery speeds. I also helped document lab equipment and organize supplies in a BSL-2 environment.
