In my role as Lead Computational Capabilities Engineer in Nike Innovation, I develop and lead the creation of custom tools, workflows, and software that drive advanced manufacturing and computational design methodologies. Utilizing platforms like Grasshopper/Rhino and languages like C#, Python, and JavaScript, I identify opportunities for innovation, prototype cutting-edge digital solutions, and refine them through user feedback, leading to novel technologies that redefine industry standards. This role empowers me to push the boundaries of digital fabrication, transforming the future of product development.

Emergent is an interdisciplinary design technology company providing design assist, digital workflow consultation, and custom software tools for architecture and design teams. As Co-Founder & Director, I play an active role in every aspect of the business, from business development and client acquisition to developing unique software solutions for complex design problems. Leveraging platforms like Grasshopper/Rhino and languages like C#/Python, we deliver innovative solutions that help our clients automate, optimize, explore, visualize, document, and fabricate their ideas.

Arwen was a software startup providing non-custodial escrow solutions for trading cryptocurrencies on centralized exchanges. I was responsible for fully designing the interface and user experience of the platform, developing it all the way from initial paper sketches to finalized high-fidelity screens. Thanks to my background as an early blockchain technology adopter, I was able to closely collaborate with the back-end protocol engineering teams to influence the design of the trading protocol, ensuring that the platform was both secure and intuitive. I led the design, implementation, and user testing of all new features, drawing on my extensive experience in cryptocurrency trading to create a user-centered experience. My role was pivotal in bridging between complex technical requirements and seamless user interactions.

During my employment , I designed 2D and 3D creative and graphic assets, interactive HTML5 advertisements, technical animations, product renders, and email campaign and web designs.

During my semester long co-op with Onshape, my responsibilities included setting up and executing user interviews and UX tests to gather data on how users interact with existing and future aspects of the product, translating that data into meaningful visuals, and meeting with software engineers and project leads to influence design decisions.

During my summer employment here, I translated 2D data to 3D models, I instructed on how to use Solidworks for specific applications such as custom wreathed handrails, and I designed and modeled architectural and aesthetic aspects of stairs. I was also a woodshop hand.

During my employment, I 3D modeled precision instruments and machines for earth scientists, I renewed product books with updated designs, and I remodeled outdated parts to fit new designs.

Working under the head of engineering, I was tasked with producing material layouts and yield calculations for manufacturing. I also created customer quote sheets, organized CAD files, and 3D and 2D modeled custom lighting canopies and brackets.

Working with the curator, I designed the brochure for the Jamestown Arts Center annual Summer Soirée, working in InDesign and Illustrator.
