I am currently a student at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville studying Mechanical Engineering. My goal is to work in either defensive/systems manufacturing or mechanical vehicle manufacturing. I am extremely interested in the defense world. This past summer I worked for Naval Information Warfare Center, where I gained useful experience in mechanical and systems engineering/development. I served as project lead to find discrepancies in a testing procedure for cables in a DoD system. I conducted inspection procedures on DoD systems. I participated in integrating a DoD system into a larger DoD system. I am passionate about Mechanical Engineering. The summer of 2022 I worked for Nascar Speedpark as an engineering intern, where I built, tested, and maintained go-karts for their park. I also assisted in building a multi-million dollar unicoaster for the park that traveled in pieces from Italy. Along with the simple building of the uni-coaster, lots of testing and international communication was required. I also have experience in the restoration and building of classic cars. I have assisted in building engines, drivelines, brakes, and suspension. Beyond my engineering degree, I was heavily involved in The Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corp which strengthened my professionalism and values as well as allowed me to gain core leadership experience. From January to March of 2022 I was the Director of Operations, in charge of all Public Affairs, and recruiting efforts for Detachment 800. In addition, I organized a 140+ person wide Air Force exercise. AFROTC has taught me to be a team oriented individual with a drive to excel as a professional leader.
