I am a 4th Grade class teacher. The school is an accredited IB school in Silicon Valley and I have been teaching the PYP curriculum to my 4th Grade class. I have gained a lot of professional development whilst at the school.Recent Professional Development:Evidencing Learning (Category 2 IB course) 2019: I explored and developed my practice regarding how to monitor, document, measure and report on learning in order to inform the learner, teaching and learning and the learning community. Stanford University, Continuing Studies. ‘An Introduction to Programming’ Course (Grade A achieved) 2018.This course at Stanford helped me develop my Computer Science knowledge and allowed me to learn the Python coding language. The course allowed me to improve my teaching practice by furthering my understanding of the computational concepts that I teach during my lessons. Making the PYP Happen (Category 1 IB course) 2017: The course helped me develop my understanding of the essential elements of the IB Primary Years Programme. I deepened my knowledge of international mindedness, the learner profile and it helped me to improve my practice when planning, teaching and assessing students in the IB Primary Years programme.
