James Dascoli has a life long passion for working with German Shepherds and animal rescue and shelter dogs. He has been rescuing dogs for over 20 years working and assisting a number of shelter and rescue organizations before becoming President of Garden State German Shepherd (GSGSR) for 5 years. During his tenure as President, James was responsible for evaluating and assessing hundreds of dogs.James oversaw the temperament and evaluation program for GSGSR, teaching members how to properly handle dogs and how to conduct safe temperament tests of dogs potentially entering the GSGSR foster program. Through work in rescue, James has helped countless dogs with wide ranging behavioral issues as well as teaching new owners basic obedience training and proper integration of dogs into new homes and environments. James took his passion and experience of working and training dogs and joined Canine Dimensions helping clients and their dogs. James is a Certified Dog Behavior Advisor and is recognized by both of the nation’s most prestigious dog trainers associations: the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and the International Association of Canine Professionals. In the fall of 2014, James founded Sedona Shepherd Sanctuary (sedonashepherd.com), a rescue dedicated to helping find homes for adult and senior German Shepherds and dogs in need of special help.
