About James Davies

As Site Engineer at Hyne Timber, my role is based in the two areas of production support and commercial development (capital projects). In many cases the problems faced by production evolve into capital projects. My role includes all aspects of the project from conception and problem solving to design, estimates and budget management, contractor management and delivery. With my technical background, I am able to communicate to all levels of businesses from production staff to our board of directors while remaining relevant and effective.My previous roles have allowed me to develop my technical knowledge in a commercial environment. I consistently seek personal challenges and strive to out perform expectations in my work. As a result I am currently responsible for several hundred thousand dollar projects representing 1.2% of the company revenue.Outside of work I am kept busy with a number of technical and hands on projects developing a capability with any tool from fencing to welding and carpentry. I like to stay active with a keen interest in rock climbing and mountain biking.Colleagues know me as easy to work with, loyal, responsive, and capable.
