Responsible for sourcing and buying parts either by telephone or email, buying stock for external UK DHL locations, checking and shipping all documentation to DHL locations and negotiating prices with suppliers over the telephone.I later moved on to the Arinc Helpdesk, working within a department of 19 staff, reporting to the IT Support Manager, logging and assigning fault calls from Heathrow Airport for PC's, Printers and self-service machines, handling out of hours calls for other departments, closing off logged calls, creating daily activity reports for airport managers, keeping customers updated on live calls, assigning generated calls to Engineers, call volumes varied each day dependant on the faults coming into the departments, but on average I was handling around 100 calls per day.
