The long term goal of the research initiative is to design a sustainable, energy efficient, profitable and easy to use small Aquaponics system for homeowners or small businesses. Some of my accomplishments on this project are: adding to and organizing Marquette University's compilation of relevant literature; Improved the initial design of the Aquaponics unit by verifying flow rates using Siemens NX 7.5;completed 3-D drawings of a greenhouse and secured a construction site on Marquette University's campus; verified structural safety design and year-round thermal efficiency; created a bill of materials.
