As a Scribe at ScribeAmerica, I work in different parts of the hospital and write the charts for the attending Physician. At Rochester General Hospital, there are multiple specialties that a Scribe can work in. Most of the Scribes work in the Emergency Department, but there are other places one can work. Some examples of these are Cardiology, Pulmonology (MICU), Primary Care, Gastroenterology, and Patient-Centered Admission Team. All of these give a Scribe a very well rounded clinical background as we see everything the attending Physician will see, and are part of the process by which patients receive their treatment.
