As the Chief Artillery Officer, I am responsible for the human resource management, operations, capability development, logistics and training of the Singapore Artillery.

As Commander of 3rd Division Artillery, I was responsible for the operations and training of subordinate Artillery units.During this appointment, I also served as part of the NDP 2020 Executive Committee as Chairman, Singapore Together Pack and Sponsorship. In that role, I led the committee in working with several stakeholders to plan and distribute the bag to every Singaporean household to provide essential support during the COVID-19 pandemic and celebrate NDP 2020 from their homes. In my capacity as Chairman Sponsorship, I led the team to work with sponsors on areas such as sponsorship agreements, mileage and recognition.

As Head National Service Plans in National Service Directorate, I was responsible for providing the operations- policy interface in the development of NS policies.One of the key focus included enterprise risk management where we conducted horizon scanning on risks facing the national institution and developed strategies to deal with emerging challenges.I was the lead secretariat for the Advisory Council for Community Relations in Defence (Employer and Business) where we worked with Trade Associations and Chambers to strengthen the partnership and collaborations between MINDEF and the business community. One initiative that was launched as a result of this partnership was the NS Mark accreditation scheme, a recognition for companies that have practices supportive of our NS system.Collaborated with MND and URA to develop the concept for the NS Square, the redesigned Marina Bay Floating Platform, which was announced by PM at the NS 50 Commemoration Dinner in 2017.

As the Commanding Officer of 24th Battalion Singapore Artillery, I led the unit to maintain operational readiness of key capabilities for the Singapore Army. During my tenure, we were awarded the Best Artillery Unit in 23/24 and 24/25.I supported the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the 28th SEA GAMES as Chairman, Show Management. In this role, I worked closely with the creative team to manage the performers and props for both ceremonies conducted at the Singapore Sports Hub.

Attended overseas course at Defence Services Staff College in India.

I worked closely with the Defence Technology Community to define the operational requirements for our weapons acquisition and development programmes. I was intimately involved in the process of managing large scale defence projects, from developing the requirements, to design reviews, and operationalising testing and evaluation of systems.From 2010 to 2011, I was deployed to Afghanistan as part of the International Security Assistance Force to support the establishment of the Afghan Artillery School in Kabul. I worked closely in a multi-national setup to manage the support requirements for the Artillery systems in Afghanistan.

Held various leadership, training and staff appointments in the Singapore Army.
