James has been freelancing as an Audio Engineer and Theatre Technician across Australia for more than a decade, with experience in a range of venues and work types. Some of these include:• Consulting for installation, operation, maintenance, training, and management of AV and lighting systems for numerous venues and churches across Sydney, the Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions.• Developing and implementing AV and lighting inventory management procedures for schools and churches.• Freelance work as a recording and mixing engineer and/or producer for clients at several Sydney studios including A Sharp Studios, Fine Music “Founders Studio”, Q Studios, and Jungle Studios.• Location recording for radio including ABC, and “Fine Music” 102.5FM.• Designing both live playback and backline equipment rigs for musicians and churches.• Crewing for local and national tours.• Sound design and composition for theatre, film, and video games.• Sound editing for podcasts.• Audio and video editing for music videos.

Along with partner Stuart Hope, James provided complete musical solutions for artists. James specialised in location setups and live recordings.James' responsibilities included:- Coordination with artists for their needs on a project.- Collation of deliverables- Accounts management- Location scouting- Transport and setup of location recording rigs- Transport and setup of live recording rigs- Editing, mixing and mastering of audio projects

As New Blood's Live Sound Engineer and Roadie it was James' job to travel with the band to whatever venue they performed at (including interstate travel). At the venue James would help load in, help prepare/repair their instruments, get them on stage with speed and efficiency, perform their live front of house mix and advice the monitoring Engineer of specific requirements for the band.Notable Events include:- Thy Art is Murder/Cattle Decapitation/King Parrot @ The Annandale- Nile/The Faceless @ The Manning Bar- Psycroptic/King Parrot @ The Stag

Tutoring both Clarinet and Saxophone Students in a music School Environment, with the intention of the students completing AMEB examinations.

James was employed part time to run and develop the music ministry team for 1 year. While in this position James' responsibilities included:- Week-to-week running of the Evening Service band, consisting of a roster of 20 musicians. Creating a Roster and filling positions where necessary.- Coordinating and running rehearsals for each service- Pastoral care of members of the music team- CCLI (Copyright Licencing) management for the Church- Training of musicians in Church Music- Design, installation and maintenance of a AV system for the Church- Training of Church members in operation of the Church's sound system
