I have worked as a cost accountant in a manufacturing environment and I was recently a financial analyst for a multi-billion dollar healthcare insurance agency. In my years as a cost accountant, I have performed cost projections and bills of material for new products, analyzed and reported comparisons between budget projections and actual spending. I have also managed month-end journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance forecasting. In my years as a financial analyst, I have designed custom models for measurement of utilization management and cost containment along with recommending appropriate methods of analysis and qualifications to perform queries.
