Editor of 'Photographica World', the journal of the Photographic Collectors' Club of Great Britain (PCCGB), which is dedicated to publishing articles and research on different aspects of photographic history, as well as book reviews and correspondence. 'Photographica World' first appeared in 1977 and is now a 60 page colour journal, published three times per year.

I have also published articles for the Centre’s website: ‘Anton Walbrook’ (February 2011), ‘Photography at the Bill Douglas Centre’ (February 2012), catalogued materials and new accessions, helped lay out teaching materials for seminars, supervised the Special Collections reading room, helped present talks to both the public and to students, and curated an exhibition 'Anton Walbrook: Star and Enigma (March - July 2013.)'

In September 2014 I began working on my research project "Ministers of 'the Black Art': the engagement of clergymen with photography, 1839-1909", funded by a three-year PhD Studentship awarded by the College of Humanities. My research combined many years of study in both the history of photography and theology, and examines the activities of clergymen-photographers during the long nineteenth century, exploring the relationship between their religious culture and photographic work. My thesis was submitted in March 2018, and I passed my viva in May, contingent upon a number of amendments being made to the thesis. These were subsequently made and the Ph.D awarded.

The MA in International Film Business is a joint enterprise between the University of Exeter and the London Films School, aimed at training the next generation of innovative executives for the international film industry.' My duties involved administrative support for this module, including the selection, preparation and setting up of teaching materials for seminars.

Department Of English And Film Studies

I taught two weekly seminars for the 2nd Year English & Film Studies module 'Adaptation: Text. Image. Culture', as well as biweekly workshops, guiding students in their analysis of a wide range of film adaptions in order to enrich their understanding of the complex process by which literary material (such as scripts, short stories, novels and plays) are adapted for film, television and other screen media. Teaching duties also involved marking essays and formal presentations, meeting with students to discuss course work and essay preparation.

A research internship in which I supported Professor Eddie Jones in the final stages of his book project, 'Hermits and Anchorites in Late-Medieval England: A Sourcebook'. The post involved proofreading, plus the completing and formatting of bibliographical references.

As archivist I was responsible for the care and arrangement of the abbey's historical records, imposing order on a large quantity of unsorted material by setting up a system of filing and indexing, arranging exhibitions and undertaking historical research. I also co-produced a quarterly newsletter - "Pluscarden Benedictines" - and was responsible for typesetting, digital photography, editorial work, writing articles, planning and designing layout.

Working across three departments - Special Collections, Book Acquisitions and Periodicals - I undertook a range of duties over several years, including cataloguing, book processing, reader services, dealing with new accessions, university theses, donations and Russian & East European materials. I also curated an an exhibition using original material that I had sorted and inventoried: 'Rudolf Schlesinger: a display of documents to commemorate the 25th anniversary of his death on 11 November 1969, Glasgow University Library, 11 November 1994 - 6 January 1995.'
