In this role, I was the on-shift manager for most of my shifts. I acted as the on-shift manager and was responsible for ensuring all tasks were completed to a high standard. I made sure all customers were happy with the service they received and resolved any conflicts that arose. I was also relied upon to cash up takings at the end of the night and was responsible for explaining any discrepancies that were found.

I planned and allocated duties to team members. I was responsible for stock control and managing resources to maintain profit margins and I banked the daily takings. In addition, I helped to train new staff and mentored franchisees for new stores. I also created the rotas each week. I helped set sales and cost of goods targets, and I organised the team to try and meet those targets. In this role I developed my people management and business organisational skills.

I worked as a member of the team baking and preparing food and drinks, and serving customers. I also reconciled and recorded daily takings. I developed my communication skills and began to understand the day-to-day requirements of running a successful business.
