I am a thin film deposition and characterisation expert specialising in the HiTUS deposition system developed by Plasma Quest Ltd. Thin film processes and deposition systems are developed in house to both improve deposition performance and develop new coatings and applications. The HiTUS deposition system is particularly well suited to high rate depositions of metal-oxide films using a reactive deposition technology. Other advantages include low-stress films at low temperatures, high levels of adhesion and low temperature depositions, which are particularly well suited to depositions onto challenging materials such as plastics. At Plasma Quest I have lead a number of research programmes both in-house and collaborative development programmes such as those funded by the Technology strategy board and the European Union.
