Asset and Configuration Manager. My duties included administering the Change Requirement Board meetings on a weekly schedule with division leads, where we discussed new and pending tickets in the Remedy ticketing system.I provided appropriate routing for all SOCPAC generated change requests and delegatedimplementation of requests to the appropriate division. I joined financial, contractual, andinventory functions in support of new material purchases and capital equipment replacement, (atan advisor level). I worked directly with the government to maintain a seamless transition fromthe creation of purchase orders, to the delivery of assets, to the disposal of end of life items.As Asset Manager, I maintained the accuracy of Configuration Items (CIs) in the ConfigurationManagement Database (CMDB). I developed and maintained processes for managing andtracking the full |T asset, license, and maintenance life cycle, from procurement to retirement. Idefined, maintained, and updated policies and procedures for effective management of the ITasset life cycle (e-g., acquisition, deployment, utilization, de-installation, reallocation, anddisposal).Details:* I was the Remedy Manager for SOCPAC, with admin rights. I opened, organized, transferredto the correct division, updated and closed tickets assigned to SOCPAC.* Worked with the J6 Deputy to upgrade SOCPAC from 1500 obsolete desktops to laptops,which resulted in SOCPAC experiencing minimal loss of operations during the COVIDepidemic.* Life-cycled obsolete equipment (CERP) throughout the SOCPAC area of operations, whichincluding ordering and shipping the new equipment, and receiving and DRMO’ing theobsolete, while maintaining proper accountability.* Audited, validated, and reconciled software licenses against the installed asset base.* Managed and planned for the population of the asset database.* Worked closely with the Government to ensure policy compliance and asset maintenance.

Operated, monitored, and controlled the physical, data link, network, and transport layers of strategic and tactical communications including connectivity to local and wide area networks, end-to-end telecommunications and circuit switching systems, long-haul transmission, and the global information grid. Utilized SPECTRUM software to monitor SIPR, NIPR and CENTRIX networks.Performed and coordinated circuit configuration, operation, restoration, and improvements. Analyzed their capabilities and performance, identified problems, and took corrective action. Operated, maintained, and troubleshot various cryptographic equipment. Fabricated and installed various cable assemblies as needed. Maintained and operated three Promina 800 nodes.Worked with DISA regarding new circuit installation, modification and deactivation as needed. Worked with local Circuit Actions office to issue TSO or DISCO paperwork. Created and modified circuit diagrams.Performed facility self-inspections to ensure safety within the workplace as well as organization of equipment and cabling. Directed troubleshooting and made operational adjustments to technical control and telecommunication transmission equipment to include Promina 800 systems, various modems, and patch panels. Worked in conjunction with various other sections to include, but not limited to, Network/Systems Administrators, Outside Plant, and SL-100 personnel. Utilized Remedy for opening and maintaining trouble tickets.* Operated test equipment to verify end-to-end circuit, system, and network signals meet minimum standards. Equipment included the Fireberd 6000A and 8000.* Performed circuit, trunk, link, and system patching and cross connecting to establish, sustain, and restore service. Worked with local SATCOM office for most testing.

Provided tactical communication service and customer support for deployed military and civilian users. Monitored and maintained tactical communications backbone within strategic operating environment. Collected and submitted reports to higher echelon agencies.Provided O&M support on the Single Shelter Switch (SSS) tactical van, the rack mounted Compact Digital Switch / Switch Multiplex Unit (CDS/SMU), two remote single row nests, one Standardized Tactical Entry Point (STEP) CDS/SMU and associated cryptographic systems.Responsible for diagnostic testing, surveillance, and technical support on digital trunk group circuits, long local circuits and the base tactical phone network. Documented all outages and preventive maintenance inspections in CAMs & Remedy.Ensured the tracking and reporting of internal and external trouble calls utilizing Remedy ticketing systems. Participated in Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI’s) limiting the disruption of communications.

While assigned to B Co, 50th Signal Battalion in both the US and Iraq, I was a Team Chief on several Telecommunication switches. Created and maintained databases, provided voice and data communications, troubleshooting signal flow when needed, maintained COMSEC devices. Deployed to Iraq Dec 2004 to Nov 05 in support of an Aviation unit; supervised 3 soldiers. Supported an Aviation BN with both secure and non-secure telephone and internet (voice & data) support for 6 months.Selected to work with Battalion Automations in assisting contractors in programming and installing Cisco switches to create a fiber optic network on Camp Anaconda, Iraq. Duties also included programming a database with telephone numbers and permissions with Call Manager, initiating trouble tickets, and assisting the team with both in-office and on-site computer maintenance.
