Hello! I'm James Cox, an Accounting major at Kennesaw State University with a passion for numbers, problem-solving, and teamwork. My academic journey in accounting is driven by a strong interest in financial analysis and strategic planning, and I am eager to apply my knowledge and skills to real-world challenges.Beyond my academic pursuits, I've gained valuable experience through various roles that have shaped my professional and personal growth:Assistant Baseball Coach: At Wesleyan School, for three seasons, I had the opportunity to develop leadership and mentoring skills while fostering teamwork and discipline among young athletes. Coaching taught me the importance of perseverance, the ability to handle different personalities, as well as effective communication.Intern at Gibraltar Real Estate Services: During my internship, I assisted with financial reporting, and property management tasks. This role provided me with hands-on experience in real estate accounting, allowed me the opportunity to multi-task among the various needs of the properties managed. It ultimately enhanced my understanding of the industry. I collaborated with commercial property owners as well as tenants to ensure accurate financial records and gained insights into the intricacies of real estate transactions.As I continue my studies and professional development, I am excited about the prospect of merging my academic background with practical experiences. My goal is to pursue a career in accounting where I can contribute to the organizational success through meticulous financial management and innovative solutions.Outside of academics and work, I am an avid baseball enthusiast and enjoy staying active.
