High knowledge of fashion trends, including colours, materials and styles. I had to also be responsible for making recommendations based on personal preferences of the customer, should they either be unsure of what they want or we do not have their required item. The close proximity to Wembley Stadium and the SSE Arena meant that I also gained experience that allowed me to deal with large swathes of customers coming in at one time, either prior to an event or just after they leave.

Due to the close proximity of Wembley Stadium and the SSE Arena, there were often large numbers of people in, and therefore I was responsible for making sure that all orders, be it through the app or at the till, were made perfectly, as quickly as possible, and delivered where necessary. I was also responsible for age-restricted sales and some level of crowd management

Where required, it became apparent that perishable items would need to be taken onto the shop floor and stacked in the mornings before the store opened, meaning that it was necessary to work under heavy time constraints.

Working primarily on the Travel Money department since its inception in that store, as well as gaining experience on other departments, such as fragrance, seasonal gifts and menswear. I was tasked with training new employees on the department whenever necessary, one of which included an individual who was brought in as a replacement supervisor, after the previous had moved to Head Office in London. I have experience of handling large amounts of cash in various currencies daily. I am a very quick learner, and at one point I was able to tell someone what currency came from what country, what each available denomination was and what the short codes were, as well as being able to make a calculated guess as to the rates, although this was not entirely true for every currency as there were some I never had dealings with. I worked with my colleagues to develop methods over time to ensure the department runs more smoothly. For example, at the inception of the department, many of the answers we needed to customer queries were not readily available, I created useful documents that were able to help with a number of these questions and provide a much quicker answer. One I created was a list of 'closed currencies', which are currencies that cannot be bought or sold outside of the country of origin. Another I created was a list of all currencies that we had the ability to order, which denominations were available and what each short code was so that it was easier to search on the system. One of my most significant achievements was spearheading a successful marketing campaign in early 2017, with the aim of increasing sales; the campaign involved offering discounted rates for local schools, businesses and military sites by sending out emails, posters and leaflets with instructions on how to receive these deals. The campaign saw a number of businesses make inquiries, as well as some staff members from schools coming in due to the information they have received.
