At FlackTek, I lead a dedicated team of engineers and technicians in developing custom machines, including mechanical, electrical, and software design. I manage multiple external design firms on multi-million dollar projects and am responsible for multiple patent-pending designs that significantly enhanced our product offerings. Over the past six months, I have been instrumental in setting up our European division, traveling extensively while continuing to manage my team. My role extends beyond typical engineering management; I excel in technical sales, customer relations, and business development. I engage directly with customers, interpreting their needs and identifying the right solutions, and I perform live demonstrations at trade shows. With deep knowledge of our machines' operations, market dynamics, customer needs, and the benefits of our technology versus other methods, I consistently make strategic decisions that drive our business forward.

As the lead engineer at SpaceFactory, I was responsible for the general aspect of making things work. That essentially means that I did whatever was necessary in the design and implementation of new and existing systems to ensure that we could 3D print large structures.This includes but is not limited to: setting up robotic arms, designing parts, electrical wiring, integrating hydraulic lifts, operating heavy machinery, prototyping and testing plastic extrusion systems, interfacing with customers, suppliers, and partners.

Working as a project manager, I focused on managing the customer interaction with the business from the point of sale on to delivery of the machine. Typically that requires an understanding of the processes they're currently using and how we can help to improve that. When working on a 3D printing related project, or just those more technically complex than standard, I also worked on ensuring the process is working in its entirety before delivery. That can mean everything from developing the recipes and code used on machines to training the employees of the customer in its use.
