I am a PhD in Engineering student at the University of Warwick, currently in the thesis post-submission stage. I completed my MSc in Chemistry with Scientific Writing and my BSc in Chemistry at the University of Warwick and the University of Surrey, respectively. My PhD was geared towards the modification of natural rubber for improving tire tread rubber circularity. The course required me to learn a large number of analytical techniques, as well as any software bundled with the specific instrumentation. Some instrumental techniques include infra-red spectroscopy, ultra-violet spectroscopy, thermal gravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, proton nuclear magnetic resonance and rubber processing analysis.During my PhD, I undertook 3 years of providing pastoral support to students living within halls, first for 2 years as a volunteer, and the third year as a part of paid employment. As a result, I became attuned to handling sensitive information, as well as providing safe care in challenging situations often related to mental health. I have developed an efficient tendency to develop safe and positive rapport with students or colleagues under my care.I am an avid public speaker and seek any opportunity to display and further fine tune my public speaking skills. Over the past 4 years, I have competed in many public speaking competitions at the University of Warwick, being granted 1st place in many. In my free time, I have also provided mentorship to University of Warwick students to improve their public speaking skills, via the use of self-created sessions involving the use of PowerPoint presentations and other activities within. Additionally, I have recorded a number of different speech styles upon the Patreon platform for future use.Finally, in my spare time, I have been a heavy part of fighting game communities within esport scenes. Whilst competing at tournaments frequently, I also have created a vast number of videos pertaining to such communities and have undertaken many graphical designs within the community. At an amateur level, I have done event hosting, advertising, video montages and compilations, guides, commentary, and vast social networking. At the start of 2023, I completed a longitudinal project with Metafy Inc.I am a motivated and empathetic worker who prioritises the wellbeing of others, whilst striving to improve myself and expand my transferable skillset within the world of work.
