Led the team that successfully delivered the largest global roll out of Body Worn Cameras & 1st UK Police Force to digitally share evidence with the CPS using Cloud technology.Winner of the MPS 2018 Excellence Awards “Building a Better Met” category & a bronze winner in the 2018 IESE Public Sector awards. Received a Commendation from the head of Transformation Directorate.As a BWV SME I been a speaking delegate at several conferences & events including “Modernising Justice” & “Blue Light Innovation” & Axon Innovate. I Created & still chair the 1st ever global BWV User Group ensuring one voice of the customer with our chosen supplier & enabling effective collaboration with Police Forces across the World.Delivered on the Met’s BWV technology refresh of over 23,000 body cameras, with current overall camera totals now standing at 26,500

Took over The Battersea Neighbourhood Policing Team in the wake of the London riots. Innovator of numerous Crime prevention & ASB reduction initiatives. Op Venice lead for Partnership & Prevention tactics pan London. Exponent of Achilles Heel (Al Capone) techniques, as Acting C.Insp I Chaired Wandsworth’s ASB partnership meetings & represented the Police on the Borough Integrated Offender Management (IOM) meetings. Received C. Supt Commendation for partnership approach which saw crime reductions & an increase in community confidence. As Local Policing Model lead for Neighbourhoods I devised & oversaw the Wandsworth Probationer Pathway programme in 2013 (180 participants). Many practices now adopted in new (2020) Met wide recruit training programme.

Devised Custody Suite “best practices” which were adopted London wide in tandem with Operation Incan. I Oversaw the final build & opening of Wandsworth’s new Custody Centre, which included successful submission of a Business case (BC) to challenge a previous decision NOT to build an Exhibits / Property store on the new site. Evidencing huge monetary savings & efficiencies in evidence management, my BC was subsequently adopted as a model for all future custody centre builds.

Leading a Response Team on a very busy Borough

Staff Officer for 3 years to Senior Police Commander, Martin Hewitt, working within the Specialist Crime arena. Many diverse roles included staff Officer at the Met Intelligence Bureau, working as a “Green Commander” on kidnap operations and co-ordinating & Charing Nation Human Trafficking Centre Intel meetings. Mr Hewitt is now Chair of the National Police Chiefs Council.

Community Team Sgt , leading to an early adopter of Safer Neighbourhoods & feted as one of the top 5 SNTs in London with many initiatives adopted Met wide as best practice. Winner of an ENCAMS award in 2004; MPS Problem Solving Awards runner up 2007 (CoP Cards); 2007 Runner up in Jane’s Police Review “Community Officer of the year”; Kingston Mayor's "Services to the Community" award 2006 and 2x C.Supt Commendations.

Newly promoted Sgt on a response team in the Royal Borough of Kingston-Upon-Thames.Attained new skills as a Level 2 Public Order trained commander, FAAW, a Forward Intelligence Team (FIT) Officer as well as being a GT controller working at NSY on the Intel Pod on several high profile events. I led the uniformed operational element of the 1st “pre Notting Hill” Intel Team in 2001. I used what were then new & innovative Achilles Heel tactics to tackle gangs intent on causing violence at the Carnival. Successful crime reductions at that years event led to this becoming an annual operation (Op Razorback).

Newly trained recruit based at Fulham Police station. Several diverse roles & skills gained as a uniformed officer including Response Driver, (CAD) control room supervisor, Officer safety Instructor, only male SOIT (Sexual Offences Interview Techniques) Officer at the station, Football Intelligence Spotter for Chelsea & Fulham (represented MPS nationally & abroad), local schools Officer (see young picture), as well as working on the Vehicle Crime squad and High Impact team.
