James is currently a Board Member of the Global Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative and Faculty Member of the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. James has served as a member of the BHP Forum on Corporate Responsibility, the National 'Close the Gap' Steering Committee and is past President of the Victorian National Parks Association.
