At Girlguiding, the largest UK Volunteer membership organisation, I had multiple critical responsibilities, managing and overseeing the Membership Risk area of the charity. This focused on volunteer training, reputational risk, financial risk issues, safeguarding, complaints, insurance and membership safety. Line-managed a team of staff including their work allocation, supervision and performancemanagement. Ensured legal and legislative compliance within areas of volunteer and member risk, safeguarding, regulations and inclusion throughout Girlguiding's 120,000 volunteers and 560,000 members. Developed the recruitment process for new volunteers, ensuring the organisation was legislatively compliant. Project managed and delivered a national-level conference on the subject of property management and safety for over 200 property-owners, managers and volunteers within the organisation. Responsible for all internal and external complaints and safeguarding issues which arose within the organisation. International representative for Girlguiding UK at a WAGGGS/WOSM conference in Helsinki, discussing gender equality in youth organisations. Implemented findings into processes upon return. The single point of contact for all outdoor and activity related training, qualifications and queries,ensuring Girlguiding remained safe, inclusive, innovative and compliant throughout. Created the Girlguiding first aid qualification for volunteers and I reviewed and updated otherpublications to ensure the organisation remained consistent and accurate. Nationally rolled-out all updated policy and delivered successful kick-off events. Worked closely with other internal departments on campaigns, PR and Policy, such as the overhaul of inclusion, transgender and data protection policies and associated training. Managed all insurance services and claims within Girlguiding and the external partnerships withrelevant insurance companies. Lead DBS signatory for volunteers

As a Prince2 trained project manager I became knowledgeable and skilled in all aspects of Girlguiding processes, rules and regulations and I gained a reputation as an expert and problem solver. The single point of contact for all volunteer qualification, activity and training queries within theorganisation. Responsible for the development of volunteer training qualifications and processes as well as theupdating and creation of numerous publications, training courses and documents, including allGirlguiding permission and health forms for events and activities, the Girlguiding Adult LeadershipQualification and the 1st Response volunteer first aid qualification. Coordinated the UK rollout for new activity qualification structure. Including organisation and planning of a national level conference and associated logistics for 300 people.
