An experienced Logistics Manager with experience across a number of sectors and operations. Working as Head of Contracts within Archbold Logistics LTD to identify and implement operational efficiencies across our Contract Logistics offerings. Having gained experience as a student through a placement position within Wincanton, followed by a graduate position within the same business I gained experience in both Transport and Warehousing across the Construction, and then Manufacturing sectors. Following this, the opportunity arose for me top return to Yorkshire with Expect Distribution. Initially entering the business in the Contract Logistics division as a Contract Manager, I was responsible for a number of contract logistics customer operations over this period, covering everything from 3.5T vans to Artics and anything from retail deliveries direct from point of manufacture, to raw material deliveries utilising an outbased radial delivery model. From there I progressed to the pallet network operations within Expect Distribution, taking on the role of Palletline and Partner Manager, overseeing both inbound and outbound network operations, as well as the cross-dock warehouse operation. This role then led to a natural progression into my most recent role at Expect Distribution as Traffic and Network Operations Manager. This saw me take on operational responsibility of both the pallet network and general distribution operations within Expect, taking accountability for a ca. £20 million per year operation. On top of operational responsibilities, I also led the student development programme within Expect for several years, where I have been able to apply my learnings as a student in order to develop upcoming talent. After 6 years with Expect Distribution I have recently moved into my current role at Archbold Logistics LTD, where I am keen to apply my learnings from past experiences to a new business, both in terms of operational and employee development. I am also an active member of the Novus Trust Scheme, which supports students studying in Logistics at the University of Huddersfield. The scheme creates a platform for vast development of the students involved, and as one of the first graduates of the scheme, I am privileged to be in a position to now support upcoming candidates, as I have experienced myself in my formative years in logistics
