Axian is a consulting and professional services company where I engaged in building e-commerce, supply chain, and communication & collaboration portal web applications. I’ve spent a great deal of time working with these technologies: ASP.Net, SharePoint, PHP, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, Telerik, CSS, HTML, SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.

I Transferred in from the parent company (First American) to the subsidiary First American SMS, and worked as a software engineer. Over the course of several years, I worked myself up to a leadership position, overseeing a team of developers. I worked extensively with improving and maintaining several Windows thick client, and web applications that performed order, document and image processing. Additionally, I engaged in development of B2B XML web service interfaces, email communication applications, and database architecture and optimization. Throughout my time here I gained experience with a number of technologies including: VB, ASP.Net, C++, SQL Server, Oracle, XML, and web services.

I was responsible for MS SQL database performance tuning, modeling, and charting out reporting, and business intelligence solutions to meet business needs. I built many polished reports in Crystal Reports (now business objects), authored a number of utility applications to transform data. I also was responsible for training business analysts how to write efficient database queries for ad-hoc data.
