CurrentPrimary contact responsible for management, troubleshooting, and provisioning of Ethernet-based infrastructure to 53 remote sites along the 241-mile long Ohio Turnpike. Shared Systems Administrator in daily duties including but not limited to VM Provisioning, Active Directory object and policy management, user permissions management, OS Patch management, and network attached storage provisioning. Tier 3 end user support as needed.Networking team subject matter expert for standardization and automation of planned PC lifecycle replacements, utilizing Microsoft SCCM and PXE technologies to facilitate a streamlined, standardized, and secure common end-user experience. As part of a specialized team, I evaluated, selected and implemented a EMC & vmWare-based hyperconverged virtualized server infrastructure. I oversaw migration of production application servers, as well as AD Domain infrastructure from cold-iron rack mount servers as well as older virtual infrastructure. Planned and executed a full Active Directory forest migration to new virtual infrastructure from legacy Active Directory domain.Evaluated, planned, and assisted in the planned replacement of the Commission's entire Ethernet and optiacal infrastructure at 50+ locations, implementing both Ethernet switching as well as Cisco NCS Packet-based optical data switches in a fully Layer 3 routed environment. This infrastructure upgrade also included the installation of new Cisco FTD/FMC NGFW equipment, and Cisco EPNM device management. Performed iterative design upgrades to our wireless networks as part of normal operations to improve usability and security for end-users.Oversaw installation of virtual appliance based web filtering proxy, and Firepower-based IDS/IPS system. Implemented two-factor authentication (2FA) and RADIUS integration with centralized user authentication for all VPN connectivity to Commission networks to ensure compliance with PCI SAQ-D standards.
