While being fresh to the cyber security space I have grown into the role well in a short space of time. Being able to handle investigations on offences raised and perform mitigation/remediation, using platforms such as QRadar , Splunk, Sentinel One and Stellar XDR. Successfully blocking IP’s from multiple customers networks. Reporting on log sources and being competent to take on the desk alone. My work in networking has not taken a downward turn either, with experience in Juniper ,Cisco and Palo Alto systems, being able to handle P1 incidents during site outages and leading initial troubleshooting. I have continued to study while undertaking tasks such as working with routing config on firewalls , investigating connectivity issues between devices on other networks along with determining the cause of bgp issues/physical issues in the data centre. As well as keeping my knowledge up to date on the latest threats. I have become one of the leading members of the team being able to administer training while proving that I am an analyst that can be relied upon to monitor, analyse and respond to security incidents in an appropriate manner.

As a Noc Technician/call handler I have gained experience working in a help desk environment effectively triaging tickets and configuring/monitoring network devices. This role also consists of dealing with customers issues either physically in the data centre or logically via multiple monitoring systems, often on the phone but mostly via a ticketing system. I have done this as part of a team and carried out the entire process on my own while at the same time suggesting and implementing improvements to the company processes and logging infrastructure. I find this role and type of work exciting to learn/carry out and look forward to an ambitious career.
