Specializing in historical structures, adaptive reuse and preservation, the greater portion of our design projects reflect the original intent of the architecture and the successful insertion of modern capabilites into the revitalized structures .Most in our area are residential and light commercial, and created or have fit into contexts developed over decades.We seek this out and weigh design intentions heavily against this, favoring a compatible contextual design with that neighborhood.We hold expertise in Historic Preservation, Adaptive Reuse, stylistic research, in additon to retail, restaurant, healthcare, recreational and general commercial architectural services.We strive to make residential addition work "look like it was always there!"and we delight in new construction and the opportunity to create, relying on context, style, program and site.Member of the American Institute of Architects,Holder of an NCARB Certificate,Member of the American Planning Association,and the National Trust for Historic PreservationSpecialties: Adaptive reuse, Historic Restoration, HealthcareJames Fleming is currently the chair of the Historic and Landmark Review Board for the City of New Rochelle since 2015.
