Hello, I'm James, and I bring a unique blend of academic excellence and real-world experiences. I achieved outstanding A-level results in Mathematics (A*), Physics (A*), and Chemistry (A) from West Buckland School in Devon. Beyond the classroom, I've been a Ride Operator at Crealy Theme Park, ensuring a seamless guest experience, and took part in the Extreme Character Challenge in Northumberland, fostering resilience and teamwork. My journey also includes volunteering at the Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand Elephant Rescue Centre, facing the Royal Navy Admiralty Interview Board at the age of 15, and completing the Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate. Proficient in Python and have a strong familiarity with C and MATLAB from my 2 years spent as an Engineering Student at the University of Warwick. I'm also an avid gamer, finding joy in titles like Baldur's Gate 3 for it's captivating stories and coop multiplayer, 5D Chess for it's strategic challenges and outside the box thinking, Factorio for it's optimisation gameplay, and Elden Ring for it's insanely difficult challenges and the satisfaction that conquering them brings.
