Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: (as outlined by Frontier Communications.)1. Installs, operates, maintains and repairs communication equipment such as digital and analog carrier and switching systems, private line and special services circuits, microwave, video, HICAP, radio, toll and associated equipment, trunking equipment, fiber optics systems, alarm systems, test equipment and alignment equipment.2. Installs, removes, rearranges, programs, tests, troubleshoots and repairs various complex voice, data, and ancillary equipment, and network services.3. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on video, fiber optics, digital/electronic switches, digital switching networks, electronic switch databases and computer peripheral equipment via computer interface systems..4. Performs service order, line and truck routines and work orders..5. Uses a variety of test equipment to isolate, identify and analyze equipment trouble and takes appropriate maintenance action.6. Operates computer systems and support devices; installs and tests system upgrades. Administers and maintains computer support systems databases.7. Responds to emergency service-affecting situations. Assists in trouble isolation of network and subscriber loop problems.8. Climbs towers and/or poles to inspect antennas and transmission lines, as necessary.9. Works in buildings being constructed/renovated, manholes, rough terrain,traffic, aerial lifts, platforms, etc.10. Exposed to high voltage electrical power stations and power lines, explosive and/or flammable liquids and gases, oxygen deficiency, carbon monoxide, lead toxicity and asbestos materials. Works with molten lead and wax.11. Operating and maintaining power equipment such as motors, generators, engines and rectifiers and battery plants.12. May encompass duties outlined in the Equipment Installer title.13. May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the Company

When Frontier Communications purchased Verizon assets in Florida, Texas, and California, I maintained my position I had with Verizon as a (CT) Circuit cable Technician working on the outside plant for Southern - Suncoast region of Florida footprint. Responsible for Hi-Cap circuit pairs between the Central Office (CO) and the customers serving terminal. Includes all field repeater servicing and replacement. Duties include working in underground and in aerial situations.

Maintain telecommunications cabling between the Central Office (CO) and customer premise. Install and maintain customer inside wiring and devices.

Inspect incoming RMA customer complaints and determine if faults were in hardware or software configurations for Comdial branded PBX and Voicemail Servers. Also tasked with tracking RMA fault trends and suggesting remedies.

Started my career here as an electronic technician working on the Vision PBX line as a manufacturing repairman, testing and repairing cards as they came off the manufacturing lines. After a year or so I was asked to be the group leader of the Vision repair line effectively making me in charge of all repair activities in the company. When Teltronics acquired the rights to manufacture and distribute the Harris 20/20 PBX, I was asked to set up a new repair and RMA department in a newly leased building off-site of Teltronics. Myself and another tech I worked with was sent to California to get training by Harris Corp on their 20/20 line of PBX equipment. It was a two week crash course and from that training we built the new 20/20 RMA and repair depot.
