James has led the team through a period of organisational change and a challenging operating and economic environment. James has taken a lead role in re-shaping the NZ technology function to align with the parent company Belron International ‘country cluster’ operating model for AU/NZ. This has required close collaboration with the AU technology team and the NZ Executive team to ensure all stakeholder expectations are managed. A technology strategy has been developed that aligns to the Belron NZ business strategy. James takes the lead on ensuring the successful delivery of the associated change programme that will implement key enabling projects. James works collaboratively with the ANZ Technology team to ensure all aspects of Belron NZ technology are operationally fit for purpose.

I am an IT Professional with over 25 years’ experience delivering information technology projects. I have held roles in general management and consulting in New Zealand, United Kingdom and Europe.My experience spans the banking, media, telecommunications, transportation and utilities sectors. I have direct experience of managing large scale transformation programmes and those with a global remit. I combine business and commercial acumen with strong leadership and management skills. My exposure to large transformation programmes leaves me aptly skilled in managing the business and technology trade-offs often required to achieve successful outcomes.

I led the successful programme to transform the Technology and Innovation division by implementing an agile and DevOps based operating model. This programme of work involved significant change to technology, processes and people. The operating model has been implemented with an associated organisational restructure. This programme involved a large component of culture and organisational change management.

Following a significant organisational restructure I was appointed to the role of General Manager Project Delivery. The role was accountable for the successful delivery of all projects across the enterprise. I was also part of the leadership team for the technology and innovation division of ASB Bank, reporting to the Executive General Manager Technology and Innovation. I lead a team of 60 project professionals.
