My practice focuses primarily on briefing in complex civil litigation and appellate litigation. I have drafted briefs in many trial and appellate courts at the state and federal levels. I have also served as lead defense counsel in multiple cases arising under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. My experience spans across a variety of areas, including bankruptcy, commercial, constitutional, consumer, federal jurisdiction, insurance, and procurement law.I maintain an active pro bono practice and have been the principal drafter of briefs before the U.S. Supreme Court, as well as both federal and state appellate courts. I recently argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in a federal habeas appeal and also successfully represented a detained immigrant seeking relief from deportation under the Convention Against Torture (CAT).While in law school, I won the 64th Annual Van Vleck Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition, in which I successfully argued before a panel presided over by Justice Sonia Sotomayor of the United States Supreme Court.
