Contracted to help convert AFI's mainframe system to Micro Focus COBOL

Develop detailed, complex technical specifications programmers will use to support and enhance existing software, third-party products, and/or new software applications. Write and update documentation for applications and processes. Documentation must explain complex technical processes for an audience with different levels of expertise.Provide guidance to and assist in training less experienced associates in coding techniques and principles. Perform complex analysis and recommend solutions for disruptions in production systems.

Evaluate and process purchases, redemptions, transfers, and maintenances from shareholders, broker/dealers, institutions, and client fund groups. Maintain accuracy and compliance contract compliance and regulatory standards in processing.Research, respond to inquiries, resolve problems, process corrections and escalate calls when necessary. Cross train and participate in peer-assisted education in different areas of accountability to expand my knowledge base and to advance my skills. Offer mentorship and on-the-job training to other associates.
