• Permanent Shift Control Tech for Bruce B at the largest nuclear plant in the world. Primarily working on the shutdown systems and electrical/instrumentation associated with the turbine controls.

•. E&I Co-ordinator for the power generation utility in the Yukon Territory. Primarily responsible for our LNG plant and any Electrical or Instrumentation control systems in the Territory. Lead and first point of contact for any instrumentation inquires. GE RX3I, fanuc, RSLogix 5000, SCADA programming. 13.8, 144, 6.8 & 4.16 KV protection relay commissioning/ troubleshooting. Maintaining/operating all power generation including 3-4160 volt LNG synchronous generators, 31-4160 volt Diesel synchronous generators, 11-13.8 KV hydroelectric synchronous generators, excitation control systems and digital governor controls in our 90% renewable energy system.

• E&I maintenance/commissioning of the Bitumen Production sector of the Horizon site, Extraction / Froth / Tailings. Participated with the E&I commissioning team on the 100,000 barrels a day expansion (where we have the main commissioning and maintenance contract) which rolled into maintenance for the 260,000 barrel a day oil facility.

• Contract E&I Quality Inspector for an 110,000 barrel per day expansion at Imperial Oil’s Kearl Lake Project. Successfully handed over the project to the client on time and on budget. Then transitioned to an expat E&I Quality Coordinator role at an $190 Million expansion with PotashCorp’s PCS Nitrogen project located in Lima Ohio for Kiewit.

• Quality Control Inspector for an expansion at MEG Energy’s Christina Lake Sag-D facility. Started from inspecting constructions installations, commissioning the instruments and then turning them over to the client.

• Lead E&I Quality Inspector for a 50,000 barrels per day expansion of a Sag-D oil facility. Started with E&I construction and ended up with a quality lead position towards the end of the project.

• Lead hand Electrician on 2 new oil sand construction mega projects at Nexens Long Lake upgrader Gasifier Unit & Suncor’s Firebag Project phase 2 both are Sag-D oil facilities.
