I have been in education for 17 years teaching band and instrumental music. As a band director, I have acquired many skills including: Organizational Leadership, Written Communication, Public Speaking, Time Management, Curriculum Development, Teamwork, Proficiency in Microsoft Office, being results oriented, and being able to work well under pressure. I have experience hiring and managing staff, producing showcases and competitions, maintaining an inventory of equipment in excess of $300,000, and raising funds which accounted for up to 100% of the budget to successfully operate a music department.My band programs have been very successful, winning numerous 1st place awards and superior ratings. Many of my students over the years have won individual honors and superior ratings including 1st chair seats in All State, All Region, and All County Bands. My marching bands have consistently been competitive in local and regional circuits. I look forward to taking the skills I have used to make my band programs successful into the business world to help companies become more successful.
