After graduating from Kingston University in 2013, James joined Squire & Partners and has since worked on a wide variety of high-profile projects. He played a key role in the design of 135 Park Street (Tide), a recently completed net zero carbon office building in Bankside. In 2024, James will also oversee the completion of Space House, a 60’s Brutalist office building and the UK’s first listed BREEAM outstanding office.In 2018, James completed The Ministry, a co-working members’ club in Elephant and Castle, featuring a bar and private dining spaces. More recently, he worked on 78 St James’s Street, a Grade II* listed workspace in Westminster, transforming a former Gentleman’s Clubhouse. He designed the historic entrance and lounge spaces, as well as the contemporary reception, office, and rooftop bar. Additionally, James delivered a high-end fit-out for a private client at 100 Bishopsgate in the City of London. James has also contributed to the interior design of The Broadway, a contemporary mixed-use development in Westminster comprising six residential towers with spa facilities. He was responsible for the concept and detail design of the landlord areas, apartment interiors, and spa facilities. The project won Mix Interiors magazine’s Living Interiors award in 2023. James was promoted to Associate Partner in 2024 and was selected as one of Mix Interiors’ ‘30 Under 30’ top designers in 2019. He now provides leadership and guidance to multiple teams within the interiors department, ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest standard.
