I collected wastewater samples around Detroit, MI for SARS-CoV-2 analysis. I processed the raw ddPCR and Phi 6 data and submitted the results to EGLE. I helped scout sanitary sewer collection sites. I also helped incorporate innovative sampling techniques, such as the use of Moore Swabs.

I collected wastewater samples around Detroit, MI for SARS-CoV-2 analysis. Most of the collection was done at the GLWA Waste Resource and Recovery Facility (WRRF). I sampled the three main interceptors (ONWI, NEIA, DWI) via grabs and filters in triplicate. I obtained badged access to the facility and coordinated work between CDM Smith, GLWA, and Michigan State University. I also calibrated the sampling pumps and prepared HCl acid for sample preservation as well as mixed chlorination and de-cholorination solutions.

I coordinated Cooking Matters classes throughout the five counties that Gleaners Community Food Bank serves.
