Post Launch Test Science Lead for GLM instrument(s) on the GOES-R satellite series

Performed two polarization ray traces for the first half of the Coronagraphic Debris Exoplanet Exploring Payload (CDEEP) vector vortex coronagraph to observe the Jones pupils for the field incident on the vector vortex retarder of the system.Calibrated and utilized a rotating retarder Mueller matrix imaging polarimeter to quantify the polarization properties of a commercial dichroic in efforts to show polarization aberrations of dichroics can be relevant for predicting the polarization states or aberrations that could limit the performance of diffraction-limited systems, such as exoplanet imaging coronagraphs.Developed and designed from ground up an Ultraviolet Stokes Imaging Polarimeter (ULTRASIP) for detecting optically thin clouds and sky observations in the 360 nm - 450 nm range

Using imaging techniques and writing image processing algorithms for measuring a variety of MEMs. Techniques include scanning white light interferometry (profilometry), low coherence interferometry, spectral domain interferometry and confocal chromatic detection.

Developed, tested and implemented high speed automated camera grading processes for verifying wood quality in the timber industry. Wrote automated image processing scripts and methods utilizing techniques such as linear filtering, Sobel, and Hough for edge and defect detection. Servicing and installing included wiring of system, camera placement and installation, light adjustment and verifying calibration, repeatability of measurements and process robustness.

Testing thermal conditions of WiFi cards at different power levels dictated by output power and various MCS rates to check for heat limitations. Tests involve using and acquiring data from measurement tools such as power meters, oscilloscopes and DAQs. Results are used to develop thermal simulations for future card development. Other responsibilities include data analysis of results and coding in VBScript.

Constructed a Differential Interference Contrast Microscope in both coding and physical construction for observing transparent cell specimens. Job consisted of coding in MATLAB and manipulating optical lenses and lasers.

Developed firmware code in C and C# for various keypad locking mechanisms and for encoding keycards for hotel locks. Also worked on prototype layout design for a PPCOM to USB connector using PADS Layout and Logic.
