My journey started in banking with Virgin/RBS selling offset mortgages back in 1998, at the time not sure of the direction my career path would take me. However, I realised that the mortgage industry was an area to pursue and quickly passed all CeMAP exams. Then became a mortgage and protection advisor with Mortgages Direct in 2003, which was the first time being able to provide advice to clients.In 2006 I started my path in self-employment, on reflexion probably the timing could have been better with the 2008 property recession approaching, but if you can survive this then anything is possible!I joined Mortgages Direct (now Just Mortgages Direct) again in 2008 self-employed until 2017, as a Mortgage & Protection Advisor, working in house with estate agents which provided a good insight into how the industry and both Estate agents & mortgage advisors work together to achieve the best outcomes for clients. In 2017 I began a whole new journey with Just Mortgages Direct and set up my own franchise, which provided a better work-life balance and had more time to focus on my clients past and present and now work remotely from home.
