My role as the Kitchen Sales Designer for the Hawkhurst Depot involves performing kitchen surveys, taking accurate measurements and discussing the customers requirements. I then plan and design their new kitchen using our CAD software, liasing with the customer along the way to ensure we deliver exactly what they are expecting through onsite and instore meetings. I manage the sales cycle right the way through from the initial survey to closing the sale.

This is considered a specialist role in our depots. Our Lead Kitchen Sales Designers manage their own design and sales portfolio while leading and developing the depots team of Kitchen Sales Designers. They will use their extensive skills and experience to monitor the depots lead bank and allocate workloads according to capability and capacity.The Role• Coach and develop Kitchen Sales Designers to ensure high quality designs and excellent customer service.• Monitor the depots Lead Bank to identify and develop sales opportunities.• Organise individual and team workloads, to ensure a timely design presentation and to follow up proposals with customers.• Develop long term collaborative business relationships with customers from the building trade and their clients.• Provide feedback to your Depot Manager regarding the Kitchen Sales Designers performance.• Strive to exceed sales targets for high value/complex design briefs.

As Assistant Depot Manager my duties involved supporting the Depot Manager with the day to day running of the Depot including kitchen plan checking, stock management, controlling stock reorder points and chasing all stock required to fulfil orders. I also had a hand in managing the teams targets and goals and assisting them in working to achieve, and exceed the targets we set. I increased our compliance audit result year on year from 86% to 91% including achieving 100% for the stock management aspect of the audit.I managed the compliance aspect of the depot paperwork from cash and banking through to employment records and solely ran the depot in the managers absence including opening up, setting up the depot for the day and closing the depot at the end of the day, ensuring all security procedures were followed.

I was the Sales Representative for the Bexhill Depot of Howdens Joinery. My role was to generate new accounts through cold calling both from the depot and in the field whilst assisting with the nurturing of new and existing business. I was targeted on the number of new accounts I generated monthly as well as turnover from new accounts, targets I am proud to say I hit every month.
