I am currently working as a Personal Shopper in Tesco consisting of picking customers online shopping off of the shop floor and into a trolley before being delivered out to the customers door. I have completed a lot of overtime during my time in Tesco, both on the checkouts and in stacking shelves in the fruit & vegetable department. I am thoroughly enjoying this working experience in Tesco as it is giving me the opportunity to work in such a unique role and for one of the biggest retailers in the UK, where I have gained great experience.

I was lucky enough to be selected as a coach for the 2021 Cul Camps, where I got 5 weeks of coaching children across the county, gaining priceless experience which I feel further make a good candidate for a HR related role. One of the key things I believe I picked up through the 5 weeks is that I began to learn new ways of coaching, as I was working alongside different coaches from all over the county every week who all have different methods and experiences to bring to the table which I feel has helped to make me a better coach.

In November 2020, I was employed on a part-time basis in Dunnes Stores, where I worked on the tills and across the floor. This was an extremely challenging experience as a month before I got employed in Dunnes, I started my current part-time job in Tesco. So for nearly 7 months I worked double shifts each day from Friday - Sunday between the two stores, starting at 5am in Tesco and back into Dunnes in the afternoon/evening, all on top of my studies for University. During my time there I developed many new skills including till operation, using paypoints, communicating with customers, fellow employees and senior staff, completing customer deliveries, stacking shelves, date rotating, off-loading deliveries, facing the shelves off, etc. I enjoyed the interaction with the shoppers, many of whom I grew to know personally over the time and had a sense of pride and satisfaction when I helped meet their needs.

In May 2019, I began working seasonally in the Bookings department in Liam Connolly Roadfreight. This was a completely new experience for me yet one that I really enjoyed and thrived on. Duties in my role as a Sales Administrator included answering customer enquiries over the phone and email, taking payments over the phone, organising bookings and gathering all the necessary information for jobs. I developed a wide range of skills and gained a lot of experience during my time at LCRF, skills such as written and verbal communicating skills, customer service, reliability, problem-solving, the ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, a good manner using the phone, and gained experience with Microsoft Office.Main responsibilities included:• Managing correspondence by answering emails and telephone calls.• Processing customer payments for deliveries or collections.• Taking responsibility for the collation of collection and delivery details including weights and dimensions of the goods being transported.• Drafting, format and print relevant documents using Microsoft Office.• Handling any queries or complaints from the public.

I worked behind the bar in Granny Annie’s in Enniskillen from March 2019 to May 2019 which was great for me to get some experience working in a bar. It also improved my money handling, customer service and working under pressure skills.
