Lab Manager - Biological Human Factors Lab (BIOHF)

As a PhD Student at the University Connecticut, I am tasked with both teaching and research responsibilities. My teaching responsibilities have included assisting a primary instructor in the management of a large seminar (150 students), as well as taking a lead role in instructing Introductory Psychology Labs (30 students each). This includes creating lesson plans, preparing materials, delivering lectures, and handling student evaluations.As a research assistant, I have been primarily associated with two long standing projects: SLSI and HITEC. My role for the Short Line Safety Institute (SLSI) has included running data analysis on survey data, with key items involving safety culture and safety climate. I also assist in generating reports that are given to key stakeholders of railroad managers, both private and federal. For the Health Improvement Through Employee Control (HITEC) project, my role has primarily revolved around field consulting, organizational management, and designing decision-making systems and trainings, primarily for partners within the Connecticut Department of Correction. I also have experience working in laboratory settings, with a strong focus on developing wearable sensors for collection of physiological data in the workplace.

As the Data Scientist for AGL, my role includes designing and executing a wide variety of research projects. These projects range from measuring employee engagement and productivity, developing pricing structures for new products, segmenting consumer markets, and conducting academic research. I supervise a rotating team of associates, analysts, and interns on these projects, training and developing both their technical skills and their client/project management skills. My role is ultimately responsible for every phase of these projects, from design through analysis and reporting. Furthermore, I am actively engaged in the overall management of the firm, handling miscellaneous responsibilities from social media content, market strategy, product development, business development, and community outreach.

As the EE & MR Specialist at AGL, I was responsible for handling all research projects for the firm. This included developing employee surveys, national polling, market research, brand assessment, and more. I handled all aspects of the research design from conception through analysis. Additionally, I was responsible for social media content generation, including writing blog posts, expanding brand awareness, and passive business development.

As a graduate intern for the Clearview Group, my role primary revolved around the creation and implementation of models simulating supply chains. A key part of my involvement was developing new methods for understanding the inter-connected pieces of different supply elements, and to determine the highest-impact intervention points for reducing overall supply chain risks. During the latter part of my internship, I managed an international team of supply chain graduate students on more advanced statistical modeling and critical event analysis.

My responsibilities as a production technician at CRL were to work with a large team of technicians to manufacture bulk amounts of pharmaceutical testing kits. The role involved managing different aspects of the production in a FDA regulated environment, maintaining appropriate production documents, and ensuring the product maintained quality standards before being readied for distribution.
