Chief Engineer for Department of up to 5 members who were responsible for all system design, technical support, maintenance, workflow design, R&D, project & installation work for one of the largest and busiest post facilities in the UK spanning four buildings over 100 suites at the time.Heavily involved with pre-sales, including workflow design and provision of live capture and logging and asset management solutions. Productions include: Apprentice, Top Gear, Only way is Essex, Seven Days, The Hotel, Shipwrecked, Biggest Loser, Classmates.Implemented the first full resolution single ingest live tapeless record solution for live ingest/live logging and post logging/editing with full Avid integration using Cinegy MAM products with bespoke workflows, technology that has now been used on many large reality TV series. I was responsible for purchase, build and implementation of above software/hardware (80TB storage and associated servers, network etc.) and workflow testing and definition including liaison directly with manufacturer development team regarding software changes/fixes and with the client to meet production requirements.Responsible for remote logging/editing solution at Talkback Thames with media/metadata hosted remotely for up to 12 clients logging and performing assembly edits over the internet/sohonet. This was used on jobs such as The Apprentice and other Talkback Productions.Installation of inter-building high speed, resilient links at Evolutions including liaison and negotiation with dark fibre provider, sourcing of optics, installation and network configuration (Cisco Network Core).System Design / Build of new facilities eg. Earth, a commercials facility started by Evolutions in January 2010 at their Wells St site including project management, budgetary responsibility and supervision of Engineers and wiremen to a fully operational state including integration with existing Evolutions buildings.
