Starting in 1997 I have a wealth of experience in the water treatment industry, I am a passionate and driven plant manager who strives to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers. From the beginning I helped organise the build of the plant with the facilities manager. My input on the build varied from being consulted on the specifications of the equipment I needed for the production plant to actually building some of the internal pipework of the plant. After the plant was built I then had the task of developing the production department in to what it is today. It is a stream lined ion exchange regeneration and water treatment equipment production facility. As production manager I am responsible for the preperation and quality control of equipment supplied to our customers for outsourcing their industrial water treatment needs. In addition to this I run the ion exchange resin regeneration side of the plant. I am also heavily involved in the site's quality and health and safety programs.

As a field service representative I had the opportunity of travelling globally to commission and operate the equipment at our customer's facilities. This role gave me a different perspective of the company I worked for. I had always known the importance of quality, but it is not until you are face to face with a customer do you truly realise that the equipment you are providing needs to be able to fulfill the customer's every need. -
Production OperatorEcolochem International Dec 1996 - Jun 2000PeterboroughEcolochem International was a privately owned company that provided outsourced industrial water treatment solutions for businesses. Here again I started off as a production operator. Unlike the mass production line of UTA, the Ecolochem production operatives would prepare the water treatment equipment that our customers would then rent. The tasks included regeneration of ion exchange resins and performing quality control checks on the equipment prior to despatch. This equipment included ion exchange containerised tanks, pump skids, electro deionisation and reverse osmosis machinery. Although the company's equipment was based on known processes and technologies it had a knack of adapting the equipment to fit any customers requirements. I performed this role for three years.

I started on a production line for a company called United Technologies Automotive, producing car wiring harnesses. This role gave me my first insights into production on a large scale and an introduction into quality control for our customers. I stayed at UTA until they closed down operations in 1996 in Peterborough.
